How to Get There
The San Marcos Foothills Preserve is located in the foothills of the Santa Ynez Mountains, east of Highway 154 and north of Foothill Road. The Santa Barbara City limits lie approximately ¼ mile south of the Preserve property. Adjacent land use includes: Highway 154 to the west, agricultural ranch property to the north, residential neighborhoods to the east, and mixed residential and agricultural ranch property to the south.
The main public access is at the western portion of the Preserve at the end of Via Gaitero Road.
Secondary neighborhood access is on the east side from the end of Antone Road.
